According to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), their legal team has been at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) since 8:30am, but as of right now, INEC has not given them the documents they had earlier been promised. Anthony Ehilebo, the head of new media for the Peoples Democratic Party, announced this in a statement that was shared on his Twitter page. He claimed that it is clear from their lack of response that the INEC isn't prepared to deal with them.
Ehilebo went on to say that they only have three days left to submit an appeal and that in order to do so successfully, they must carefully review the documents that the INEC has promised to provide them. Their legal team has been at the office since the morning without success.
He said, "It is now crystal clear that INEC is not ready to release the documents they promised to hand over to us. Members of our Legal Team have been at INEC since 8:30 in the morning yesterday and up till this moment they are not forthcoming. We have 3 days left to file our appeal".
