Hoodlums Set Kano-Bound Train Ablaze At Railway Station In Kwara.

On Tuesday, unknown hoodlums set fire to a Kano-bound train at Offa Railway Station in Kwara State's Offa Local Government Area.

The hoodlums allegedly set fire to the train arriving from Lagos when it was stopped for repairs at the Offa Railway station.

Hassan Adekunle, the Kwara Fire Service's Head of Media and Publicity, confirmed the incident on Wednesday, October 6. He said the fire completely burned two of the train's 15 coaches carrying goods.

"At about 5.17 p.m., an event happened at Offa Railway Station in Offa, Kwara State. "Due to the heroic efforts of fire fighters, two of the 15 coaches contained by the affected train were burned," he said.

According to Adekunle, the Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, Falade Olumuyiwa, has urged the public not to hesitate to phone the fire department as soon as a fire emergency occurs in their region, as this will save lives and property.
