Bawa Asked For N2Million Bribe: It Amounts To Crime; Matawalle Should've Been Invited – Tietie
By Matthewcontents (self media writer) | 7 days ago
A political and legal analyst, Frank Tietie, has revealed how serious the allegation of Governor Bello Matawalle against Abdulrasheed Bawa of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is; after he insisted that the Zamfara Governor should have been invited for laying allegations that amount to crime against the EFCC boss.
Tietie had said, "The problem is the immunity. If he were to be without immunity, he would have been invited, not necessarily by the EFCC, but if the EFCC does have the power to do so, to come under the EFCC and under the criminal code and say, ‘would you substantiate what you said’, because it amounts to criminal defamation under section 373 of the criminal code for you to make statement that injures the reputation of another person."
