Former Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has stated that he has no doubt in his mind that he would return to power soon.

Oyetola, who stated that his mandate is very much intact and will be reclaimed soon, made this statement while giving a short remark during the 12-year remembrance prayers for his late mother, Alhaja Wulemot Oyetola on Monday at Iragbiji, Osun State.

I Never Opposed Peter Obi, Tinubu - Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has claimed that he never opposed the presidential candidates of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, during the presidential campaign.

Wike explained that he stood for power rotation from the North to the Southern part of the country; hence he never opposed Tinubu or Obi.


INEC Challenges Atiku, Obi's Suit On BVAS

The Independent National RicersElectoral Commission has asked the Presidential Election Petition Court to vary the orders that were granted to the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, respectively, to inspect materials used for the last presidential election.

INEC, in a motion on notice filed on March 4, is praying the court to vary the order which restrained it from tampering with materials used for the election.

Igbo Allow Can't Produce President, Day Umahi

David Umahi, governor of Ebonyi state, says he is not against the south-east’s decision to vote for Peter Obi during the presidential election.

Obi, who placed third overall in the election, won convincingly in all five south-east states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo.

Speaking on Monday at the Ebonyi International Airport, Umahi said although the Labour Party (LP) candidate did well in the election, the south-east needs to align with other geopolitical zones to win the presidency.

This is amidst the controversies trailing the outcome of the February 25, 2023 elections, especially that of the presidential polls.
