Deported Nigerian Man Re-arrested In Thailand After Sneaking Back In

Harrison Chinonso Onyema, a Nigerian, "was detained on Wednesday after attempting to enter Thailand again through water after being expelled from the country for having cocaine in his possession." Source stated.

According to Thailand Post English, "the Phuket Immigration and Chalong police station team detained the 40-year-old Onyema on Wednesday in Phuket for unauthorized entry."

The police allegedly inspected Onyema's apartment but discovered nothing illicit there, according to the story. "Upon looking at his ID card, it was determined that the suspect had been deported in 2018 after being detained for narcotics possession and overstaying his visa." PUNCH reports.

The document continued, "Mr. Harrison had been arrested for a Type 2 narcotic (cocaine) case and had been in the Kingdom in excess, causing him to be deported many years ago but secretly escaped into Thailand again through the natural border checkpoint on the Cambodian border." According to PUNCH.

PUNCH further reported, "The suspect was brought to the police station for prosecution and additional investigations when no information was discovered regarding any domestic or international travel the suspect had made."
