1. Arsenal Were Better Defensively.
Defensively, Arsenal played like a good unit and shut off Tottenham's Harry Kane and Son Hueng-Min for the majority of the game today. The Gunner defensive duo of Gabriel and White at centre back worked together and kept communicating throughout the game. This is the third game White and Gabriel are playing together and so far, the understanding between the pair have been great. Kieran Tierney was also great at left back for Arsenal in today's game. Tottenham on the other hand were bad in defence against the Gunners. Nuno Espirito Santo's men looked a yard or two off the pace against the likes of Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka.
2. Arsenal Took Their Chances Well.
Arsenal created less than 7 chances in the first half of the game against Tottenham and they scored 3 goals from those chances. Tottenham on the other hand did create a few half chances but we're let down by their lackluster finishing in front of goal. Aubameyang, Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka were just too good today and understood each other perfectly well. The runs, the timing of the pass, the through balls and other attacking plays were just spot on today and it's a testament to the Gunners improvement in recent weeks.
Nuno Espirito Santo still have a lot of work to do with this Tottenham team, they looked fatigued and out of ideas for the majority of the game. They've now conceded 9 goals in their last 3 Premier League games, a bad record for a top team like Tottenham. Mikel Arteta on the other hand have turned Arsenal's fortunes around and long may it continue.
