Tottenham vs Chelsea: How Graham Potter Might Set up His team Against Spurs

Tensions are rising at Stamford Bridge as the Blues prepare for the daunting prospect of yet another London derby. This weekend sees Chelsea host a hot and cold Tottenham Hotspur side that is eager for a top-four finish this season. With both teams knowing a victory would be vital for their respective campaigns, the atmosphere promises to be electric at the Stamford Bridge.

The mood surrounding the home team is undoubtedly less positive. Having gone on a five-game winless streak in all competitions, the Blues have plenty of cause for concern. Their most recent outing, a 1-0 loss to struggling Southampton, added more misery to an already troubling run of form.

Despite their own dismal record, the Blues still remain hopeful of overturning their fortunes in this all-important derby game. Manager Graham Potter will look to channel the passion of his home support and the Blues' determination to finish the season strongly. Anything less than a win could spell disaster for the Blues, who must keep their Champions League aspirations alive.

Kepa remains the first choice option to man the goalposts for Chelsea with the No.2 Edouard Mendy sidelined with a finger injury.

In the backline, Thiago Silva could be in line for a recall to partner up with Kalidou Koulibaly in the heart of the defence while Reece James is also tipped for a return to the XI.

Chelsea’s midfield should see the youngsters Conor Gallagher and Enzo Fernandes pair up while the on-loan Joao Felix operates in a more advanced role.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is expected to return from the fringes to lead the line for the under-fire Blues with Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk for company in the final third.
