According to RMC Sport, Arsenal are interested in signing Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta but have yet to make a formal approach.
Arsenal are looking for a creative central midfielder, and Paqueta is one of the players being considered.
Last season, the Frenchman was primarily involved in Lyon's attack, but he is also capable of playing from the center of the field.
His strong tackling and distribution abilities make him an ideal fit for the Gunners, but no formal offer has been made, according to RMC.
Paqueta is valued at around €60 million by Les Gones. Before making a late move, the Gunners may want to recoup funds.
Midfielders Lucas Torreira and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are among those who could be permanently offloaded in the coming weeks.
Valencia and Roma have already expressed interest in Torreira. The latter has inquired about the Arsenal's asking price.
Torreira was valued at around €15 million by Arsenal earlier this summer, but the club is now willing to sell him for as little as €10 million.
