Monsurat Ololade Oyedeji, a graduate of Mathematics Education, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State has narrated her journey and what informed her decision to venture into production of customized footwear.

The 2013 graduate of OAU, recalled challenges of life after she lost her husband barely a year after marriage. The Modakeke born entrepreneur tells BBC News Yoruba that depression set in because she tried foodstuffs business and others that failed.
She said her past failure reignited her spirit to try embrace footwear production which wasn't common as lady's work as far as 2018 in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
She recalled during the interview how she relocated to Osogbo to focus on her newly embraced footwear career.
"I decided to venture into footwear production because my findings showed that Nigerians spend huge amount of money to foreign made products. If such are produced locally, it will reduce the money we remitted abroad and boost our local economy through creation of jobs. With consistency, my brand of shoes and slippers have attracted classical musician, traditional leaders and others".
She advised young Nigerians to think out of the box about what they can do with their hands and add values to country.
