Dynamo Kiev Vs Barca: Match Preview, Injury List, Head-to-Head And Score Prediction

Barcelona will play Dynamo Kiev in Champions League Group E on Tuesday, in their first European match since Ronald Koeman's departure.

Last time out, only a Gerard Pique goal separated the two sides, but the Blaugrana's precarious managerial situation could give the Ukrainian side an advantage today.

Dynamo Kiev, who were winless and goalless in the 2021-22 Champions League group stages, would have taken heart from Barcelona's poor showing in the final games of Koeman's tenure, but they fell just short at Camp Nou.

Dynamo Kiev, along with Malmo and fellow Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, are one of three teams yet to score in this year's group stage, but a rare victory this week would see Mircea Lucescu's side overtake Barca into third place.

Since beating Dynamo in their matchday 3, the Catalans have now gone three games without a win, and the third-placed Spanish giants are again in the unfamiliar position of competing for a place in the last 16, with Bayern almost certain to qualify and Benfica one point ahead of them.

Barcelona have gone five games without a win on the road in all competitions since the season began, failing to score in each of their last four, although they crushed Dynamo Kiev 4-0 away from home in November 2020.

Injury List

Artem Besedin, Vladyslav Kulach, Ibrahim Kargbo, and Vladyslav Supryaga are all expected to be out for the rest of the season for Dynamo.

Centre-back Denys Popov is still recovering from cruciate ligament surgery, so Ilya Zabarnyi, 19, will have another chance to combat his wits against Barcelona, and left-back Vitaly Mykolenko will be sidelined due to injury.

Following his match against Alaves, Aguero was rushed to hospital for cardiac tests, with sources claiming that the Argentine experienced a small tachycardia attack, making him unavailable for the clash against Dynamo Kiev.

Due to an overload, Pique has been ruled out of this match, as well as Martin Braithwaite, Pedri, and Sergi Roberto. Frenkie de Jong, Ronald Araujo, Ousmane Dembele, and Ansu Fati have returned to the squad, but they may not be ready to start.

Head to head

Barcelona wins: 8

Draws: 0

Dynamo Kiev wins: 3

Score Prediction

The form book may predict a spectacular home triumph over an injury-hit Blaugrana, with Dynamo Kiev failing to concede on home turf this season and Barcelona's profligacy coming into play away from home.

Barca's days of sweeping aside Dynamo Kiev by four goals to nil are long gone, but I still believe the Blaugrana's gifted attackers will score at least one key goal to strengthen their qualification hopes. Barcelona 1-0 Dynamo Kiev.
