Super Eagles star came from the bench to inspire his European top team to a 3-0 victory

Super Eagles of Nigeria Striker David Okereke was impressive for Philippe Clement led Club Brugge football club of Belgium on Monday night, as he came from the bench to guide them to a deserved victory over Oud-Heverlee FC at Jan Breydel Stadion.

The Nigerian international who has been superb for the Belgian Pro League Champions since the beginning of the season was dropped to the bench by coach Philippe Clement in order to catch some rest, having starred in his team's away draw against Dynamo Kyiv FC of Ukraine in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League, and he was introduced to the pitch in the second half of the game, and he was able to impress.

David Okereke was introduced to replace Tahith Chong in the second half, and he played a vital role in his team's last goal of the game.

Ignace Van Der Brempt opened scoring for the home team in the 8th minutes, before Ruud Vormer doubled the lead via a penalty kick in the 39th minutes to end the first half 2-0.

Clinton Mata made it 3-0 in the 90th minutes, through a fine teamwork from substitute Nigerian star David Okereke, as the match ended 3-0 in favour of the host.

David Okereke was outstanding for the home team after coming in, in the second half of the game, and he was able to contribute to one of the goals scored by his teammates.

The victory over Oud-Heverlee FC has now extended Club Brugge's lead on top of the Belgium Pro League table with 63 points from 27 matches played.
