Symptoms Of Labyrinthitis

"According to", labyrinthitis is a viral or bacterial infection that causes inflammation of the labyrinth. Labyrinth is a complex structure in the inner ear which contains the organs of hearing and balance. This inflammation can disrupt the transmission of sensory information from the inner ear to the brain, and it is this disorder that can caus other complications to the human ear.

Labyrinthitis or inner ear infection usually occurs after a person has an upper respiratory infection such as a cold or the flu. In addition, other conditions and factors can increase the risk of developing labyrinthitis. Some of them include; 

. Ear infections, which can cause irritation and swelling in the inner ear.

. Certain types of allergies and taking certain medications such as antibiotics.

. Inner ear tumours.

. Brain problems

Some symptoms of labyrinthitis include; 

. Loss of balance.

. Dizziness.

. Vertigo.

. Nausea and vomiting.

. Blurry vision.

. Tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

. Difficulty concentrating.

. Hearing loss.

. Nystagmus (involuntary eye movements).
