
Patrick Gregory Obi, a Nigerian politician, and businessman led Anambra State three times between 2006 and 2014. To represent Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election, he was chosen by the Labour Party in May 2022.
Peter Obi, the Labour Party's nominee for president in 2023, spoke in an interview on why he picked Senator Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed to be his running partner.
In a conversation with Arise TV, Obi disclosed that they had spoken to a lot of people.
The presidential candidate, who has neither confirmed nor denied that Datti is his running mate, further stated that he wants a younger person so that the age of governance can be lowered and the re-use of elderly leaders can be halted.
He underlined the requirement for an expert person and the formation of a group that could correct him without asking anything in return.
