President Muhammadu Buhari, allegedly made a recent comment, about why the opposition lost the 2023 presidential election, in an effort to appease Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, according to the PDP presidential candidate aide Daniel Bwala.
According to Bwala, who was speaking in an interview with AIT, there were rumours that Buhari wasn't totally backing Tinubu prior to the general elections, but his most recent speech, which was addressed at the opposition, indicates that, he wants to put any questions to rest, and enjoy a quiet retirement. According to Bwala, Buhari wants to appease Tinubu, so that he can have a quiet retirement.
The statement Buhari made didn't surprise me when I saw it. You may recall that, they ran a campaign that said Tinubu wasn't being supported by the presidency, that they were at odds over the naira redesign policy, and it was implemented to prevent them from winning. In order to win his approval, Buhari is currently exerting every effort. Due to the fact that, you must be mindful of your past behaviour in retirement, he wishes to enjoy a calm retirement.
As you may recall, Buhari said that, the opposition lost because, they were overconfident and highly dependent on outside support. He added that, the ruling party believed it would win the 2023 presidential election, and they worked hard to make sure it happened.
