The longest Service Military chiefs in the history of Nigeria received their retirement letter few days ago.
Buhari replaces them instantly in order to tackle insecurity in Nigeria.
Followed by that Buhari recently forwarded the names of these gentlemen to the Senate as non-career Ambassadors-Designate.
According to a post by his media aide, Garba shehu stated that buhari sent a letter In accordance with section 171 (1), (2) (c) & sub-section (4) of 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
He here by honour to forward for confirmation by the Senate, the under-listed five (5) names of nominees as Non-Career Ambassadors-Designate.”
Below are the nominees Gen Abayomi G. Olonisakin (Rtd ), Lt Gen Tukur Y. Buratai (Rtd), Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (Rtd), and Air Vice Marshal Mohammed S. Usman (Rtd).
Am very sure that some people might criticized the president based on this move he made but sincerely they deserved it as compensation to their service to humanity.
However, Buhari also urges the Senate to give expeditious consideration to the nominations.
