You Offered Me A Basket Of Wine That Didn't Flow, But I'm With You—Tinubu to Wike

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming president of Nigeria, claimed that Wike presented him a basket of wine that didn't flow during the inauguration of the Rumuokwuta/Rumuola Flyover in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He went on to say that he has made a commitment and is prepared to keep it.

He went on to say that they should start governing the people, regardless of their political affiliation, now that the campaign is finished. He elaborated by saying that the politics of the country unites them all.

"Your Excellency, the Chief host, you offered me a basket of wine that didn't flow, but I'm with you," he said. A commitment brought me here. If you make a promise, you should fulfil it. Good afternoon, Your Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike, and our lovely First Lady; it is a wonderful honour for me to be here, and we could feel joy permeating the streets of Port Harcourt and the rest of Rivers state. There are several areas in which we overlap. This is the state of American politics, but today is not the day to campaign. You're right; now that the election is over, we can focus on governing.
