The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested one Enock Ifeoluw Ogungbamigbe today, who is known as a serial visa scammer who specializes in duping Nigerians desperate to migrate to Canada, either to work or further their education, with fake visa and job offers.
According to an EFCC statement, the 32-year-old, who owns a relaxation center in Mpape, an Abuja suburb, was lured and arrested by EFCC operatives at the Transcorp Hilton.

The operatives had disguised themselves as genuine Canadian visa applicants in desperate need of obtaining travel documents and moving to that country and asked him to come over to the highbrow hotel for the business transaction, unaware that it was a set-up.
"His arrest followed a petition by a victim who lost N5 million to the suspect as processing fees for Visa to Canada," said EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren.
"The suspect had also promised the victim a job upon arrival in Canada. But he only gave the victims fake visas, and all attempts to recover the money were futile.
"The suspect would be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded".
