I Scored More Than 582,454 Votes In Lagos, The Result INEC Released Is False - Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party in the recently concluded presidential election, has stated that he scored more than the 582,454 votes which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that he scored in Lagos State.

During an interview with Channels TV, Peter Obi was asked to comment on the claims by some members of his party that he scored about 900,000 votes in Lagos State and not the 582,454 votes announced by INEC.

Reacting, Peter Obi stated that the result announced by INEC is false, adding that he scored way more than what the electoral body announced. Speaking further, Obi stated that his performance in Lagos was due to how he campaigned to the people

At about 10:09 minutes into a video shared on YouTube, Peter Obi said "I can assure you that the position announced by INEC is false, I don't know exactly what is written but I can assure you our votes are far more than that, our figures are far greater than that.

"What did we do? Because we campaigned and told the people the right things and remember my watchword is 'go and verify whatever I am telling you'. We campaigned and told the people the truth and they know that from our past, what we promise we are going to do. We wanted to build a new Nigeria where this Lagos will be a financial centre not just for Africa but probably the middle east"
