10 Burnt To Death On Oyo-Ogbomoso Road

No fewer than 10 passengers were burnt to death on Oyo-Ogbomoso Road on Thursday.

The passengers, involved in a head-on collision involving a Mazda and a Toyota Hiace passenger bus, were burnt beyond recognition.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Ibadan.

Tinubu Reacts To Ikeja Train Accident

President-elect Bola Tinubu has sympathized with the victims of the Ikeja train accident.

A BRT bus collided with a train in Lagos on Thursday morning, leading to the death of six persons and many injured.

Reacting to the sad incident, the president-elect said, I offer my sincere condolences to the victims and families affected by the gory incident involving a train and a bus in the Ikeja area of Lagos State earlier today.

“I am praying for all, including those who died and those who sustained injuries in the tragic and unfortunate incident.

We will chase away vampires to rebuild PDP - Wike

Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike has vowed to chase away vampires and buccaneers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and rebuild the party.

Wike said irrespective of the antics of those, who fragmented the party in a bid to achieve their inordinate ambition, he and other like minds will rebuild PDP into a formidable political party.

He spoke during the inauguration of the 10km internal roads constructed by his administration in Igwuruta town of Ikwerre Local Government Area of the State on Thursday.

The leader of the G-5 Governors said after the general election, those who violated the provisions of the PDP constitution for rotation of elective and appointive offices would be shown their way out of the party.

He said: “We have finished the first phase of the war, we are going to the second phase of the war. In the second phase of the war, we must chase out the buccaneers and vampires. We are going to chase them out of the party, take our party and rebuild our party.

Mitch McConnell U.S. Senate minority leader hospitalised

United States Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has been hospitalized after tripping at a Washington D.C. hotel on Wednesday night.

McConnell, 81, was having dinner at the hotel when he took a tumble, his spokesperson said.

“This evening, Leader McConnell tripped at a local hotel during a private dinner,” the spokesman said. “He has been admitted to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.”

The spokesperson didn’t provide details on the extent of the Republican’s injuries.
