It's no longer a news that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Adams Oshiomhole of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of last Saturday's election for Edo North Senatorial District in Edo. Additionally, Adams Oshiomhole has gone back to his state to thank the people for voting for him during the senatorial election and also soliciting for votes ahead of the upcoming governorship elections.
However, Adams Oshiomhole thanked the people for voting for Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress as the next president of Nigeria and according to him, he noted that Bola Tinubu still stands as the president-elect of the federal republic of Nigeria despite the fact that the opposition parties and many Nigerians are not satisfied with the election results.
While addressing the crowd in Auchi, Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole said, "Today as we speak, Bola Tinubu is the president elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Tinubu has a message for everyone of you. And the message is renewed hope and the message starts today. A good example of the renewed hope is about the naira redesign policy. I told you all that if Tinubu becomes the president, the old naira notes would be valid and now the supreme court has said that our money is valid till 31st December".
Nevertheless, Adams Oshiomhole also took a swipe at the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele for working against Bola Tinubu's presidency. He noted that if he tampers with the supreme court ruling, he would rot in prison.
