Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aniekan Bassey has commended the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel for embarking on projects with long term benefits for the state.
The Speaker stated this on Friday while delivering his goodwill message at the Flag-off of the Dakkada Luxury Estate situated along Airport Road, Uyo.
“Your Excellency, let me thank you for your various developmental projects and strides,” he said. “I thank you for the smart building which is a testament to your ingenuity.”
He added: “I want to thank you for being a Governor who is not just commissioning roads and bridges, but embarking on projects with future benefits.
“We have a Governor who thinks of the future, a Governor who thinks of our children and generations yet unborn.”
The Speaker was one of the dignitaries who accompanied Governor Emmanuel and Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo who was in the state for the commissioning of major projects to mark the 34th anniversary of the creation of the state.
The Speaker also graced the inauguration of the 21 Storey Ultra Modern Smart Office Complex, nicknamed, DAKKADA TOWERS at the Banking Layout, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo.
