With respect to the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Mr. Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State has disclosed that his choice of presidential candidate would not mislead his people. He made this known while inaugurating some infrastructural projects within the state of recent.
He said: “ For what Rivers people has given me, I owe them a lot in my life and I would continue to protect their interest. I am not going to sell Rivers State to anybody for a pot of porridge. That is why if I tell you this is the right place, know it is the right place. I am not going to deceive you, I am not one of those leaders who are running around for their personal interest”.
Recall that several political stakeholders had summoned Wike to disclose his preferred presidential candidate since he declared his withdrawal of support for the Peoples Democratic Party but he insisted that the people of Rivers State already know whom to vote for.
