Ajax has confirmed the signing of Italian striker Lorenzo Lucca on a loan deal from Pisa. Ajax have the option to make the move permanent.

Ajax have beaten Bologna and Sassuolo for the signature of Italy Under-21 international striker Lorenzo Lucca, as the Pisa hitman becomes the first Italian to join the Dutch giants.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs have now agreed all the details for the transfer, which will be on loan for €1m with option to buy for a further €10m plus bonuses.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Ajax for weeks and the club finally confirmed the Italian’s arrival on Thursday. Lucca joins from Serie B side Pisa SC with an option to buy included in the deal.
The move for Lucca is a loan deal but Ajax can make the move permanent for a fee believed to be around €11 or 12 million.
The tall striker is the fourth attacker to join Ajax this summer after Steven Bergwijn, Francisco Conceição and Brian Brobbey. He made 30 appearances for Pisa last season in Serie B and scored six times.
