Chelsea failed to get the win against Juventus in today's group stage fixture. Chelsea had what it took to defeat Juventus at the Allianz Stadium but didn't take their chances. Here's the only reason why Chelsea lost to Juventus today.
Thomas Tuchel's Failed Tactics
Thomas Tuchel got it completely wrong in today's match, the absence of some players also affected Chelsea's game play. Thomas Tuchel didn't choose the right attack for today's occasion, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech wouldn't have been a compatible duo but Thomas Tuchel still went with them.
Thomas Tuchel had Timo Werner and Callum Hudson Odoi on the bench but didn't go with them. These players haven't had much playing minutes this season and would have made an impact in today's match. Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech failed to deliver their best against Juventus in today's match.
It wasn't the performance most Chelsea fans would have anticipated for, they were completely dominance in today's match but failed to create those big chances of scoring. Romelu Lukaku barely hand the ball in the opposition's penalty area, his teammates failed to get the right delivery into the penalty area.
Chelsea tried to get right back into the game in the second half of the game but couldn't. Juventus' defense was at their very best today and made it difficult for Chelsea to get through to the goalkeeper.
