The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi (Po) has revealed how his party plan to reclaim the stolen mandate that was allegedly stolen from him in the just concluded presidential election, which he lost to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT).
He made the revelation today through his verified Facebook page.
Recall that, following the general Presidential election, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared the winner, 1st March, 2023 by the chairman of independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mamood Yakubu. After the declaration, Peter Obi alleged that by fairness and transparency, he won the election. His dissatisfaction led to taking the INEC body to court for redress and hearing.

Peter Obi made the revelation of how his party intend to reclaim the alleged stolen mandate while making clarification on some social media contents linking the Labour Party to some hashtags, #ENDINEC, #ENDNIGERIA, stating that the said hashtags and the postings are not connected to the Labour Party faithfuls called, "Obidients" but rather being maliciously hosted by those who are against his mandate.
"My attention has been drawn to social media postings suggesting that a nation-wide groundswell "#ENDINEC", "#ENDNigeria" Protest is being planned by the Obidients. We are aware that those postings are being orchestrated by the Opposition."
In a bid to unravel the plan of the Labour Party in reclaiming his supposed stolen mandate, he said that, it shall be robustly carried out through the courts and due process.
"My position is clear: Without prejudice to constitutional dictates on freedom of speech and freedom of assembly, I have publicly stated that in the matter of reclaiming our stolen mandate, we shall do so robustly, via the Courts and Due Process."
He further expressed confidence on the judiciary, noting that even though lots may have had a different view about the operations of the court, he desire to build a firm institution and the judiciary is part of the processes.
