"Pay workers' salaries", -Yaman urges Gov AbdulRahman

The gubernatorial candidate of the Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alh Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi has urged the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to pay the salaries of SUBEB teachers and the local government workers without further delay.

In a statement issued Thursday in Ilorin by his special adviser on media and strategy, Abdulwahab Oba, the PDP candidate said "it's unfortunate and inhuman for the governor not to pay workers, especially a cross-section of SUBEB teachers and local government workers days into another month while finding it comfortable to allegedly credit accounts of political supporters with millions of naira from state resources".

Alh Yaman called on the governor to explain to the people of the state what has happened to the N17.9b he said he kept in an unnamed bank and the N18.6b infrastructure support fund from the federal government.

" It's obvious that AbdulRahman has no regard for accountability and transparency but recklessness and absolute disregard for the welfare of the workers of the state", Yaman alleged.

Alh Yaman promised to give hope to the hopeless, help the youths acquire skills and expertise to assist them to face 21st-century economic challenges, expand loan facilities for our women and facilitate equitable distribution and utilisation of our commonwealth if elected as the next governor of the state.
