A Tough Sanction Must Be Placed On Russia's Nuclear Sectors - Zelenskyy Reacts To Attack On ZNPP

As is well known, Russia has one of the largest nuclear industries in the world, but their decision to start a war with Ukraine has resulted in a variety of sanctions to what they produce. As a result of the recent attack on Ukraine's nuclear plant, Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, Zelenskyy is now calling for sanctions on their nuclear plants (ZNPP).

Ukrainska Pravda reports Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, asked that severe penalties be applied on the Russian nuclear sector after the occupants attacked the ZNPP.

Zelenskyy claimed that he said "By attacking the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant twice in one day, the occupiers put everyone in Europe in yet another incredibly dangerous scenario today. Since this facility is the biggest nuclear power plant on our continent, any attack on it would be both a crime in the open and an act of terrorism."

"Russia must take responsibility for posing a threat to the nuclear power plant in the first place. And this goes beyond merely being another justification for classifying Russia as a state supporter of terrorism.

This is a justification for imposing severe sanctions on the whole Russian nuclear industry, including Rosatom and all associated businesses and people. This is solely a safety issue.

"A nation that poses nuclear dangers to other countries is undoubtedly incapable of safely utilizing nuclear technology " says Zelenskyy.
