1 Key Reason Why Northern Govs Decision To Keep Power Beyond 2023 Should Be Supported By Nigerians.

It was recently reported that the Northern Governors and leaders recently met in Kaduna State. During their meeting, they agreed that power must remain in the north, after 2023.

Though most southerners kicked against this decision, but I really think think that this decision that was reached by the Northern Governors and leaders is a welcome development and should be welcomed and supported by Nigerians.

Why did I say so? I said because of one important reason. That is for the sake of Equity. I really think that the North should be allowed to produce the next president of the country, come 2023, for the sake of equity and fairness.

We all know that since 1999 till date, the south has produced two presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan and the north has produced two presidents aswell, Late Yar'Adua and the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari.

But on the other hand, the south has ruled country for 13 year, Olusegun Obasanjo, 8 years and Goodluck Jonathan, 5 years, against North's 11 years, late Yar'Adua 3 years, and the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari will complete his 8th year in 2023.

Based on that note, the north should be allowed to produce the next president of the country so that everything will be equal. Them after that, the south will then be allowed to produce the next president of the country.

Nigeria belongs to all of us, I don't see any reason why we should be fighting because of this type of thing. All we need now in n Nigeria is a president who can foster the unity of this country, so that we can live together as one and also develop our dear country Nigeria.

I know that many people will definitely kick against what I have just said here, but the fact still remains that we are all entitled to our own opinions and I have just aired mine here.
