GCON Titles On Tinubu, Shettima – Channels Television"/>
President Muhammadu Buhari gave the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) title to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who will be the next president. Tinubu was given the GCFR on Thursday at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja. The GCFR is Nigeria' s highest national honour and is only given to the President. This was part of the events planned for the inauguration on May 29.
Tinubu will now be called Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), which is his new title. The Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON) was also given to Kashim Shettima, who will be vice president. After the GCON, this is the second highest state honour.
According to a report by Channels Television, Buhari also officially gave Transition Documents to the new government. Some people say this will be the most organised Presidential Transition in Nigeria' s history, and it was made possible by President Buhari' s signing of Executive Order 14.
Boss Mustapha, who is in charge of the Presidential Transition Committee, said a few days ago that Tinubu' s swearing- in and inauguration will take place at Eagle Square at 10 a. m. on May 29. He also said that plans have been made to make sure that everyone who attends the event is safe and secure.
From what I can tell, Tinubu is getting ready to become the next President of Nigeria on May 29.
Netizens have had different responses to Tinubu and Shettima getting National Honours.
