PDP's Adeleke Defeats Oyetola To Win Osun Election

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has won the governorship election of Osun State.

Adeleke beat Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressives Congress with 402,979 votes to 375,077 votes. 

Adeleke won in 17 local government areas including Olorunda, Ede South, Orolu, Osogbo, Odo Otin, Ifelodun, Atakumosa, and Ila.

APC Warns PDP Against Claiming Victory

The Campaign Council of Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s re-election has warned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to set the State on fire by allegedly claiming to win the Saturday gubernatorial election.

The Director-General of the Campaign Council of Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s re-election, Senator Ajibola Basiru gave the warning in a statement on Saturday evening.

Basiru said the claim by the PDP was capable of setting Osun on fire.

Buhari Sends Get Well Message To Osinbajo After Surgery

President Muhammadu Buhari has wished Vice President Yemi Osinbajo a speedy and full recovery after the latter went through a surgical procedure Saturday to treat recurrent pain caused by a fracture in his leg.

The President in a terse statement on Saturday night conveyed by his media aide, Femi Adesina, said he gives glory to God for a successful surgery and prays for a “speedy and full recovery/”

He commended the medical team at the Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, for “their competence, and a job well done.”
