In an intriguing development, people of Ogun State have rallied to ask their former governor, Ibikunle Amosun, to help Oladipupo Adebutu, the PDP's candidate for governor, topple the state's current governor. Details of what some of the residents said were gathered during their interview with Plus TV.
Addressing the topic, Adebayo Osonuga said, "I believe that Adebutu and Amosun can unite and align their thoughts as they love the people of Ogun State. Life was good during Amosun's administration, and people enjoyed it. However, things have been different since he left office. We want Amosun to come to our rescue and join Adebutu. We want them to unite. Adebutu and the PDP are not aware of our activities, but we are doing this out of love for our state. The good people of Ogun State are here with me, and many of them are coming. We want a different government.
Another Ogun resident, Ajirotutu Oluwafemi, said, "We do not want Dapo Abiodun's government, and we urge Amosun to rescue us from the problem in Ogun State. We believe only he can rescue us, and we are here for his support. We want him to join the PDP in unseating Dapo.
