The Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate and former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, was hailed by the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, as the election's hero because without him, the Northern region of the country would have retained control past 2023.
Governor Nyesom Wike noted that because Peter Obi put up a decent fight all the way to the finish, history will be on his side. The governor of Rivers State also denied allegations that he opposed the Labour Party's bid for the presidency, arguing that since he was pushing for a Southern presidency, he had no motive to do so.
Festus Keyamo SAN, the minister of state for labor and employment and a representative of the All Progressives Congress' presidential campaign council, responded to Governor Nyesom Wike's earlier assertion that Peter Obi's 2023 presidential campaign prevented a Northern presidency beyond 2023 on Saturday, March 11, 2023, via his official Twitter account.
In agreement with the governor of Rivers State, Festus Keyamo asserted that God Almighty used Peter Obi as a stepping stone to the 2023 election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State and the APC's presidential contender.
"'Bola Ahmed Tinubu' was to be elected president, and The Almighty indeed raised Peter Obi for that purpose. Peter Obi served as a tool, not a goal, in order to accomplish something. With the utmost respect, many Men of God undoubtedly missed this information when they saw visions of 2023 "Festus Keyamo tweeted the following.
