One of the easiest way to prevent infections that can cause a miscarriage is to practice good hygiene and socially distancing yourself from sick people. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds using soap and warm water. That way, you can avoid catching any of these viral or bacteria infections.

It's no new that smoking is a major health risk. Diseases like the cancer, lungs disease heart disease and many more can be gotten when you smoke. Women who smoke are more likely to experience infertility and miscarriage.


Secondly, the infants in the womb of most pregnant women that smoke have a very high risk of sudden infant death syndrome . Its advisable to quit smoking. In doing that, you both save your life and that of the unborn child.


 Be Careful In The Kitchen


According to some medical nutritionist, Food-borne illnesses like listeria are associated with an increased risk of miscarriage. For women who are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, safe food handling is even more important than usual. When in the kitchen, please be very careful and also avoid uncooked and over processed food.


 Lose Weight Before Conceiving


Obesity is a major health problem today. Obesity is linked with alot of chronic health issues like increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer, to pregnancy complications which causes miscarriages.


However, its important to have a good healthy diet that wouldn't lead to obesity because women who are obese have a much higher risk of losing their babies.
