Since chairman of The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, announced the former governor of Lagos state and the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, winner of the 2023 presidential election, some Nigerians and other candidates have protested against it.
In a recent update, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and other prominent members of the party are campaigning against the declaration of Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election.
Also joining the protest are the chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Adolphus Wabara; Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal; Chief Raymond Dokpesi; former Adamawa State Governor, Boni Haruna among other chieftains.
However, many Nigerians have taken to their social media handler to react to the protest. Some Nigerians commended the party members for their bold step while others were against the protest. See screenshots below;
