Tinubu: Nyesom Wike is a man of Integrity

On Wednesday, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), spoke during the inauguration of the Rumuokwuta/Rumuola Flyover in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. During his speech, Tinubu commended the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for his principled stance on the presidency. He stated that he saw in Governor Wike a man of principle who had the courage to stand by his convictions, regardless of the consequences. Tinubu also commended Governor Wike for being a man of integrity, who put the interests of the nation above his own.

Tinubu said, “In His Excellency (Nyesom Ezenwo Wike), I see a man of principle. He took a principled stand that the presidency must return to the South and he had the courage to stand by his conviction, not minding whose horse is gored.

“He is indeed a man of great integrity; he did not choose to serve his own interest. Not about him, but rather the interest of the nation. You promoted unity, you promoted fairness, and you championed justice. Thank you!”

In conclusion, Tinubu’s speech in Port Harcourt is a clear indication that the APC is taking the issue of power shift seriously. His commendation of Governor Wike’s principled stance on the presidency is significant and may signal a shift in the political landscape. Moreover, his emphasis on unity, fairness, and justice highlights the importance of these values in the Nigerian political landscape.
