In a recent interview with a Punch correspondent, the Chief Spokesperson of the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Yanusa Tanko revealed what the Labour Party candidate would do if he eventually losses the 2023 presidential election.
Yanusa stressed that they are in a strong position to win the election, owing to the supports they've got from the youths and other Nigerians. He says they're not afraid of losing because they're democrats and that a true democrat would showcase his true behavior when he knows he lost in a free and fair election but that if there are manipulations, and he was eventually denied his victory then he will follow the Constitutional provisions of the law to challenge the process. He says if they lose in a free and fair process, they will be true democrats and accept the result.
He said "If there is manipulation and he was denied victory, he has the right to challenge the process. However, if we lose in a fair and credible exercise, we will do what we ought to do as democrats (by conceding defeat).
The presidential election is still ongoing and results continue to be counted and so far, the different presidential candidates have been getting massive votes in their respective strongholds and outside their strongholds.
