Banditry activities have been the major issue threatening the peace and security of the country, Nigeria. Bandits have been attacking and killing innocent people across the country recently. They have caused a lot of tension and unrest among many people across the country. They put fears in the mind of many as they are now involved in kidnapping and abducting innocent people across the country for ransom.
The Federal government of Nigeria has been fighting this bandits and has put measures to see that the activities of these bandits are reduced to the minimum, but it seems that all efforts made by the government yield no positive results.
However, according to the information made available on Thursday, 22nd April, 2021, it was said that President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the latest killing of tens of people by bandits in Zamfara State.
The Nigerian leader warned that such wanton disregard for life will be brought to an end sooner than later.
President Buhari in a reaction to the incident said that this insane and persistent violence against innocent people must stop.
He added that these criminals should stop pushing their luck too far by believing that the government lacks the capacity to crush them.
With the way President Muhammadu Buhari has spoken, It seems that he is now very serious and ready to start fighting these bandits.
It's high time the government should start fighting back to see that the activities of the Bandits are brought to an end. If not, with the way they are operating as if the government is on more capable to deal with them, they may end up taken over the whole country.
