Shettima, Tinubu tried to divert attention from Muslim-Muslim discuss with clerics – Aisha Yesufu

The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate Bola Tinubu announced Kashim Shettima as his running mate, and rights activist Aisha Yesufu responded to the allegedly fake bishops who were present.

Yesufu claimed that Tinubu's campaign staff utilized the phony Bishops to deflect attention away from the Muslim-Muslim ticket.

"Dear Nigerians on social media," wrote Yesufu in a tweet. Consequently, Tinubu's campaign team gave you all a task yesterday by introducing "fake" bishops and steering the debate away from the religious exclusion that the Muslim-Muslim ticket represents. What will you present to them today for conversation?

Remember how some people dressed as Christian priests showed up to the ceremony on Wednesday at the Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Center in Abuja to promote the APC vice presidential candidate.

The APC was charged with using "artisans" to perform the duties of clergy by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). Conversion over Tinubu's selection of a Muslim-Muslim ticket has kept Nigeria's political climate hot.

Nigerians expected Tinubu to choose a Christian as his running mate, but he chose Shettima, a Muslim from the North.
