Brazilian international and former Paris Saint Germain defender, Thiago Silva was in action yesterday for Chelsea in their 5th game of the English premier league against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The former AC Milan star started the game at the back line alongside Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger in the three-man defence and they were all able to impress with him and the latter bagging a goal each which was key in the three goals to nil away victory.
Thiago Silva has been phenomenal despite his age since joining the Blues in the last year summer transfer window under then manager, Frank Lampard having always been at the heart of the defence line for the London club.
The game of the day between the two sides was very thrilling and intensed as they both displayed some dazzling skills and none was able to break the deadlock going into the half time break.
The Thomas Tuchel's side in the second half of the game scored three straight goals courtesy of goals from Thiago Silva, N'Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger which keep them at the top of the table.
Thiago Silva with his goal of the game aged 36 years and 362 days has now become the second-oldest Chelsea player to score in the premier league behind only Didier Drogba, who scored against Leicester City aged 37 years 49 days in April 2015.
Chelsea with the win now currently sit at the top of the table with 13 points in 5 games played as they will be looking forward to continuing the winning streaks in their next fixture, so as to keep their pursuit going in the competition.
Thiago Silva will also be optimistic to keep his impressive run of form going for the Blues so as to continue helping the team in his best capacity.
