Recently, the incumbent governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, invited the president-elect and All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential flag bearer, Bola Ahmed Asiwaju Tinubu to commission the Rumuokwuta/Rumuola flyover bridge in his state.
While appearing on TVC News a few hours ago, Nyesom Wike who spoke during the event proudly stated that his administration had constructed twelve flyover bridges between 2019 and 2023, despite the fact that these projects should have been handled by the federal government. Nyesom Wike then requested that Bola Tinubu, when he becomes president, should refund the money Rivers State used to carry out the projects.

However, Tinubu responded to Wike's request by stating that he did not owe the governor anything. He went on to commend Governor Wike's performance as governor of the state.
Quoting the exact statement released by Bola Ahmed Asiwaju Tinubu, he said, "You can't chuckle me and make a demand because you are the one living on these roads." "The 12 flyovers and the demand you made for a refund, I owe you nothing. I commend your effort, but you have to lobby me."
Over to my esteemed readers, I know you will have something to say about Bola Ahmed Asiwaju Tinubu's statement? Please make an effort to share with your friends and write down your thoughts in the comment section below.
