Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says he did not criticise the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi; and his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Bola Tinubu in the just-concluded February 25 presidential election because he is an “apostle” of power shift to the southern region of Nigeria.
Wike, who spoke at the commissioning of Chokocho-Igbodo Road in the Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, said he owed nobody an apology for supporting the rotation of power to the south after the eight-year tenure of the incumbent, President Muhammadu Buhari who is from Katsina State in the North-West geopolitical zone.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will “redress” the “grievances” of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the presidential election outcome.
Festus Okoye, INEC national commissioner for information, spoke on Monday while addressing members of the PDP who protested at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
Gunmen Kill Pastor, 2 Sons In Plateau

Reactions As Ibiyeomie Says Corps Members Corrupt

Reactions have followed a statement by the General Overseer of the Salvation Ministries, headquartered in Rivers State, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, for saying members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, sold their birthrights and compromised the 2023 general elections.
Ibiyeomie in a trending video sermon added that corps members from the 2022 and 2023 batches should not be employed because they were corrupt and turned the country upside down.
Lagos To Increase Local Govt Workers Salary
