Alika Ogorchukwu, a 39-year-old Nigerian man based in Italy, met his sad end after he was beaten to death on Friday by a 32-year-old Italian identified as Filippo Claudio Giuseppe Ferlazzo in Civitanova Marche city, Italy. The video of the brutal murder went viral and has sparked outrage among Nigerians and Italians alike.
However, the Italian police revealed that the suspect was arrested via the use of street cameras. They said the victim was selling goods when the Italian grabbed his crutch and struck him, leading to his death. Mattek Luconi, a police investigator, told reporters that after the suspect struck the victim with the crutch, he hit him numerous times with his fist before fleeing the scene. The aggressor is being charged with suspected murder and theft because he allegedly fled the scene with the victim's phone.

It was gathered that the deceased was married with 2 kids and ventured into selling goods by the roadside after a car accident gave him injuries and caused him to lose his job as a laborer.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Embassy has urged Nigerians to remain calm, promising that justice would be served. Also, the embassy pledged to provide succour to the family of the deceased.
