According to PunchNews, Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has attacked the Independent National Electoral Commission for not publishing the results of the ongoing elections on their portal.
Obi found it odd that the results of the Senate and House elections made their way to the INEC server, but the election official had yet to transmit the results of the presidential polls.
This was included in a statement signed in Abuja on Saturday by Diran Onifade.
He said: It is odd, unacceptable, and smacks of fraud that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS) could gracefully broadcast the results of the Senate and House of Representatives, but not those of the Presidential election.
Diran Onifade finds it odd that the BVAS chooses which results are uploaded and which are not.
Surely this smacks of a serious scam aimed at torpedoing the wishes of Nigerian voters who have already decided that nothing can go wrong in Nigeria by using the ballot box to do so.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should be held responsible for this flagrant anomaly that defies all logic as Diran Onifade ascertains what is developing as a recipe to rig the process and cut off the voting aspirations of the Nigerian masses.
We also find the reported interference from Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike inappropriate.
We call on all relevant bodies to do what is necessary to prevent the governor from interfering in the election process.
We would like to state categorically that will not accept any presidential election result that does not match the polling station results of which we already have copies.
We are bringing this unfortunate and orchestrated anomaly to the attention of local and international observers and other stakeholders. Please call INEC to order.
