Ukrainian President, Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has paid a surprise visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The president used the opportunity of the visit to seek for support for his country.
According to a report by ALJAZEERA, Mr. Zelenskyy asked the Arab league to extend a hand of protection to ‘our people’ and the Ukrainian Muslim community as Russia continues its war on Ukraine.

This is just as Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his desire to stand as a mediator in the two neighboring countries.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while speaking on Friday at the event told the audience that he hoped “most of us are here for the sake of peace and justice”.
The Ukrainian leader who appeared in his trademark green military-inspired outfit said “We do not have missiles as our enemy has.

"We have less air power; we do not possess numerous killer drones that Iran supplies to Russia. We do not have that much artillery, but we do stay strong because we do have truth on our side."
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy added that he want to make “a noble call to all of you to help protect our people, including [the] Ukrainian Muslim community”.
One of those who were in attendance at the meeting was Mustafa Dzhemilev, the leader of the Crimean Tatar community, a Turkic group of Sunni Muslims indigenous to the Crimean Peninsula.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also explained the essence of his country's economic and educational ties with the Arab world.
