The Kano State Pension Fund Trustees' 324 properties had been recovered, according to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, which announced the ultimate forfeiture of the 324 properties on Wednesday.
The order of final forfeiture was issued by Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja while making a decision about an EFCC motion to that effect.
The EFCC had stated to the judge that the properties were "reasonably suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activities of the Kano State Pension Fund Trustees."
Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC's director of media and publicity, stated in a letter that our correspondent obtained on Wednesday that the properties include 168 homes in Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam, Bandirawo City, Kano; 122 homes in Sheikh Nasiru Kabara (Amana City), Kano; and 38 homes in Sheikh Khalifa Ishaq Rabiu City, Kano.
"The 168 houses at Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam Bandirawo City are made up of 55 units of two-bedroom semi-detached houses, 51 units of three-bedroom houses, seven units of three-bedroom converted houses, seventeen units of three-bedroom carports, three units of four-bedroom duplexes, nine units of five-bedroom duplexes, and twenty-two units of three-bedroom green-roof houses," Uwujaren continued.
The 122 houses at Sheikh Nasiru Kabara, Kano, consist of 14 units of two-bedroom semi-detached houses, 62 units of two-bedroom semi-detached houses, four units of three-bedroom converted, thirteen units of three-bedroom converted, three units of three-bedroom detached houses, eleven units of three-bedroom detached houses, three units of three-bedroom carport, five units of three-bedroom carport, two units of three-bedroom green roof, and two unis.
The 38 homes in Sheikh Khalifa Ishaq Rabiu City, Kano, consist of 19 three-bedroom bungalow units, five three-green roof flats, six four-bedroom duplex units, two four-bedroom BQ units, one four-bedroom duplex unit, and five five-bedroom duplex units.
