Peter Obi To Appear In Court Today

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has said that he is personally heading to court today as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) denied him and his political party access to inspect the commission’s sensitive materials used for the February 25, 2023 presidential election, including the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).

Recall that the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Friday granted the request of Obi and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, to inspect the election materials used during the presidential election.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Plateau State, Nentawe Yilwatda has said he would defeat the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party.

Yilwatda disclosed this on Wednesday in a Channels Television interview.

Three days to the Governorship election, the women leader of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto state, Hajiya Kulu Rabah, has joined All Progressives Congress (APC).

Rabah was received into her new party by Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, APC leader in Sokoto.


Bandits Kill Pregnant Woman, 5 Others, Abduct 50 In Niger

Bandits, on Tuesday night, killed six persons including a pregnant woman in the suburbs of Rafi and Wushishi local government areas of Niger State.

A source from the area told LEADERSHIP that no fewer than 50 persons were also abducted by the bandits, who operated around Anawanka, Sabon Gari and Kundu axis of the two local government areas.

The gubernatorial candidate of Action Alliance (AA) in Kaduna State, Mr Timothy Adamu has denied stepping down for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Saturday, March 11 election.

Ambassador Sanin Yaya, chairman, Rescue and Rebuild Gubernatorial Candidates’ Forum, Kaduna state, had at a news briefing on Monday in Kaduna said, “Today, we wish to announce our support and loyalty to Isa Mohammed Ashiru Kudan, the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP. We took this decision after extensive consultation with our party members, as well as the good people of Kaduna state.
