WAPCGM expresses confidence in Tinubu/Shettima mandate reaffirmation by courts

The Warri All Progressives Congress Grassroots Mobilizers (WAPCGM) is confident that the mandate given to President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President-elect Senator Kashim Shettima by the majority of Nigerians in the February Presidential Poll will be reaffirmed by the Presidential Election Tribunal and the Supreme Court. The group called on opposition political parties and their leaders to join hands with Tinubu in saving the country from financial and judicial waste of time.

In a statement released in Warri, Delta State, the WAPCGM urged the incoming President and the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress to zone the office of the President of the Senate to the South-South geopolitical zone. The group believes that this would ensure sustainable peace, development, and inclusiveness, as the South-South geopolitical zone is the economic hub of the country.

The Warri All Progressives Congress Grassroots Mobilizers is made up of APC loyalists from Warri South, Warri South-West, and Warri North Local Government Areas in Delta State. The group congratulated Senator (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu, the dear sister and mother of WAPCGM, for the electoral victory of her husband, the incoming President, and expressed confidence in the ability and capacity of the President-elect and Vice President-elect to bring the needed development to Nigeria based on their track records of excellent performance as governors and senators.

The WAPCGM also congratulated the Senator-elect of Delta South Senatorial District, Hon. Joel Onowakpo Thomas, for his victory in the National Assembly election and the Warri South Constituency II member-elect of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Benson Obire. The group commended the outgoing President, Muhammadu Buhari, for carrying out electoral reforms and introducing the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, which led to the drastic reduction in figures from areas with bogus figures in the past. The WAPCGM called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to improve on its logistics department to ensure timely conveyance of electoral materials to various polling units in subsequent elections.
