In his pre-match interview, Coach Bosso said, “It is unfortunate that we did not plan to play in the losers' final [Third place], but when it happens like that we have to take fate. I believe that Sports, precisely football come that way. When we put too much pressure on ourselves because we lost the semifinal, it would not go well for the next game and the future of the boys. So, we have decided to build our confidence and let them [players] know that even though we lost to Gambia that we were a better side, but luck played its part. Nevertheless, I believe they believe that Going back to Lagos or Abuja with something is better than going back with nothing. Everybody wants to be on the medal table, and that is what we are going for. Every player in the tournament must have a playing time, and that is what I intend to achieve.”
