Dino Melaye, the spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council (PCC), announced that Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had won the just ended presidential election.

Recall that Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, won the 2023 presidential election with 8,794,726 votes and was subsequently inaugurated as the new president. Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party were all beaten by Tinubu in the battle for the president. Each of the top three candidates for president won 12 states, although Kwankwaso only took home Kano State.
Despite having proclaimed Bola Tinubu the winner on his verified Twitter profile, Dino Melaye has attacked INEC's efforts in the just concluded presidential election for continuing to post sections of the vote results to their website. He went on to make fun of INEC and lament the fact that this only happens in Nigeria.
Dino Melaye wrote on his twitter account that: "Only in Nigeria: A purported winner has been announced and INEC is still uploading results. Omase oooooo".
