How to manage toddler diarrhea

It's a good sign that your child is developing well when they eat and digest their meals. However, some babies are unable to properly digest their meals and experience loose motions that can last a few days or multiple days.

Diarrhea occurs when bowel movements are frequent, loose, and watery. This is particularly common when a gastrointestinal infection is present. Even in children, bowel movement usually returns to normal after a few days. However, if it does not, it is referred to as toddler diarrhea and it can cause as many as 10 bowel movements per day with watery stools.

Here are effective methods of treating toddler diarrhea

1 Ginger

Ginger is beneficial to the digestive system and is an efficient diarrhea cure. Combine a teaspoon of grated ginger, cinnamon powder, a pinch of cumin powder, and a teaspoon of honey in a small mixing bowl before giving it to your child. Give your baby this combination three times a day.

2 Coconut water

Coconut water is an excellent beverage for helping your child recover from diarrhea. It not only tastes wonderful, but it also aids the body in regaining lost fluids. Coconut water should be given to your child at least 2-3 times a day.
